We arrived in San Francisco a few hours earlier than Matt and Ari, so we headed out and did some shopping. We've always wanted to check out CB2 (a more affordable Crate and Barrel), so that was our first stop. We also made a stop at the Design Within Reach show room, we can't ever pass it up. We picked up Matt and Ari from the airport, and headed over to Steve and Tana's house. Their little girl, Isabella, had her first birthday party that day! She is super precious. We didn't have a place to stay that night, and they offered up their home (thanks again and again guys). Before we crashed, we headed up a huge hill for a spectacular view of the Golden Gate Bridge and sunset. We found some dinner and headed back. I have to mention the photo of the book, it is a guide for expecting fathers done up as a boy scout book. It is hilarious, and informative.

In the morning, we headed to Molly Stone's (grocery store), to pick up some cheese and crackers for our trip out to Sonoma. We also made a pit stop at Peet's Coffee for some breakfast and started the drive out to wine country. There was a barrel tasting going on that weekend, you could stop at as many Winerys as you like for a set price. We went to about four winerys, I'm not much for wine yet, so I was the designated driver. We were going to picnic somewhere with our cheese, but it was rainy so we headed back to the bed and breakfast to settle in and snack. Dinner that night? Matt had soup (he had a bit of a headache), Ari had sushi, and we had donuts. I'm not even kidding.

We walked and drove around a bit this morning because Matt had some work to do. Lunch was at an Italian place in North Beach called Pinocchio's. Later that day we walked the bridge, it was super foggy. Later that night we had some great Mexican food.

We stopped at the Palace of Fine Arts first thing the next morning. It was so picturesque! Then we went on a tour of Alcatraz. It is a lot closer than you think. We had a great lunch at some cafe, stopped in at Trader Joe's (awesome). We got dinner with Steve, Tana, and Isabella (she totally sat in my lap). Have I said how adorable she is? After dinner it was late, so we headed back to the B&B. We played Smart Ass the rest of the night (and I lost, a lot).

The last day we headed out to Muir woods, which is also known as the forest moon of Endor (Star Wars, anyone?). Steven was overly excited for this. We took a three mile hike through the woods. It was so beautiful, but a bit painful on the way down. We headed back to Chesnut street (which is where we had the Mexican food) for some Asian food. Then, we did some shopping, dressed up, and went to the Tipsy pig for the most delicious dinner.
